What We Do...
NOKAOI Pipe & Restoration specializes in the restoration of drainage and water supply pipelines to near original flow efficiencies, after suffering from years of corrosion, scale, build-up, pin-holes, root invasion and subsequent structural damage.
All pipe, no matter what they are composed of (wood, clay, concrete, lead, cast-iron, asbestos, ductile iron, PVC or ABS), deteriorate or lose their ability to efficiently convey water/waste as they age. They will all suffer from some form of breakdown due to leakage or flow stoppage as a result of rot, breakage, corrosion, clogging, root infestation or chemical build-up. Every residence, business and government institution relies on its potable water and sanitary drainage lines for a quality lifestyle. NOKAOI Pipe & Restoration is here to help restore and maintain that quality of life for all in Hawai'i. With our state-of-the-art equipment and technology, our services can save you hundreds and even thousands of dollars over traditional plumbing and pipe repair, and in most cases, WITHOUT DIGGING & EXCAVATION! |
Save time and money with NOKAOI's trenchless C.I.P.P. (Cure-in-place-pipe) system.
We can service damaged pipelines in diameters from 2″ to 8″ in less than a day and in most cases less than 3 hours! NOKAOI Pipe & Restoration is the only company on Kaua'i utilizing a "trenchless" C.I.P.P. system. The pipe restoration process using Perma-Liner provides an alternative to re-piping by using in place pipe restoration which means no digging or excavation and doesn’t destroy walls, floors, ceilings or foundations.
The C.I.P.P. Process
A resin-saturated felt tube made of polyester, fiberglass cloth or a number of other materials suitable for resin impregnation, is inverted or pulled into a damaged pipe. It is usually done from the upstream access point (manhole or excavation). Little to no digging is involved in this trenchless process, making for a potentially more cost-effective and less disruptive method than traditional "dig and replace" pipe repair methods.
TELEVISE THE PIPELINE
Pipeline is inspected with camera to find the problem. |
CLEAN THE PIPELINE
Pipeline must then be cleaned out to remove roots, dirt, debris and any potential objects that could disrupt lining. |
TAKE MEASUREMENTS
Measurements of the pipelines diameter, depth and length are taken. The liner and calibration tube is then cut on the job site according to acquired measurements. |
MIX & MEASURE RESIN
Resin is also measured and mixed according to the acquired measurements |
POUR INTO LINER
The resin is then poured into the liner and rolled or " wet out" many times to ensure complete impregnation of resin to liner. |
LOAD INTO INVERTER
Impregnated liner and calibration tube is then loaded into the inverter |
INSERT INTO EXISTING PIPELINE
The liner is then inserted into the existing pipe using directional hoses and inversion heads. These ensure proper insertion. |
INVERT WITH AIR PRESSURE
Air pressure then inverts inside out allowing resin to bond and seal with existing host pipe. The calibration tube acts as a ballon to keep the liner in place as it cures. |
READY FOR SERVICE
Once cured, the calibration tube is removed and the pipe is ready for service. |
